All 3 elevators broke down during my 6-night stay. I was not offered any kind of compensation after having to walk up and down 9 flights. The staff is friendly but not real customer service oriented. they just kind of shrugged and smiled when guests complained. Perhaps I should have shrugged and smiled when it came time to pay.
In addition to the audio-visual presentations, there are dozens of interactive kiosks, photographs and other artifacts. The items on display run from the serious (the handcuffs Lee Harvey Oswald was wearing when he was shot by Jack Ruby in the basement of the Dallas Police HQ) to the kitschy (the specially commissioned Stetson hat worn by JR Ewing on the tv series “Dallas”), but almost all of them are interesting. Did you know that Slurpee’s, ATMs, the frozen margarita and Doritos were all invented in Dallas?

In other pet news, The Scavenger has issued a stolen puppy alert and a 0 reward is being offered by the San Francisco, CA SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for the return of the sick canine that was stolen last night from the facility.
