Have you ever followed someone who had a never-ending story, always something or another, just to keep you in his or her inner circle. They say things like, we would do this and we could do that, just like the white lines on the road, on and on and on – non-stop, leading to nowhere. Yet, you keep on following them and wondering where is the punch line. You keep looking ahead to the finish line, but it’s not in sight. If you keep following and listening to someone like that, you will never see the end. Just like the white line in the road.

The Location of Days Inn Market Center is great. On the edge of downtown Dallas, Approx. 2 minutes from the West End and traveling man, and practically across the street from Medieval Times Dinner Theatre. It is located right off of I-35, so all area attractions are easy to get to. There is also a train nearby which you would think would get annoying, but didn’t.

As fascinating as a famous hat can be, in some ways the real star of the Old Red Museum is the Old Red Courthouse that houses it. Built in 1892, it is a lovely building, and the restoration work done on it is impressive. Tours of the Old Red Courthouse are free with admission to the Old Red Museum, and I highly recommend taking one. Also, ask an employee in the Gift Shop to let you have a look at the restored vault. It’s pretty nifty.

Can’t Help Falling in love This song was written by George Weiss, Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore based on “Plaisir d’amour by Jean Paul Egide Martini. It was re-written in 1961 for Elvis Presley to perform in the movie Blue Hawaii.

Once in New Hampton we start to see bikes and I mean bikes! Route 135 intersects with route 103 and this is a very popular route to gain access to the bike week festivities. As we worked our way towards Laconia, going through Meredith we notice the traffic is backed up! We are surprised as the traffic we are seeing is leading away from Laconia and the bike week activities? We continue forward and get to the intersection of route 3 and Roller Coaster Road where the Broken Spoke Saloon and the world famous Tamarack restaurant are located. By this time the temp is well into the high 80’s and close to 90! We are hot & thirsty.
