Ann Sutton just wants a driveway - but Black Notley Parish Council in Braintree says it would make the area look 'unattractive'. A pensioner fighting her local council over parking space has created a huge sign demanding a driveway. Ann Sutton 72 wrote on a bedsheet "all I want is a driveway" and strung it up on her fence. However the giant blue and green letter has so far failed to convince the council to give the widowed grandmother what she wants. Braintree Council denied an application from Ann and her late husband for a driveway five years ag as the local Black Notley Parish Council said it would make the area look unattractive. So the gran strung up a bedsheet in the driveway, reports Essex Live. She originally made the sign with paper letters, but they started falling off because of the rain.
